St. Louis the Crusader Council 12929
3640 Fred George Road
Tallahassee, Florida
Welcome to our new webpage dedicated to council #12929 of the Knights of Columbus; thanks for stopping by. I hope you will visit often to keep up with K of C news and events. Council #12929 works closely with St. Louis parish and the other Tallahassee parishes, providing funding and volunteer support to the worthy causes in our area.
Our council namesake is Louis IX, also known as Saint Louis the Crusader, who was born in 1214 and left the earthly life for the heavenly one in 1270.
St. Louis, son of King Louis VIII and Blanche of Bastille, was born in Poissy, outside of Paris, became a member of the House of Capet, established the Parliament of Paris, and reigned as King of France from 1226 until his death. St. Louis, Missouri and several other places are named in honor of our Saint since he is the only canonized King of France.
